Local Missions Partnerships
Reaching People for Jesus Christ
There are some great ministries in the East San Gabriel Valley that are doing a superb job of intentionally serving our community and reaching people for Jesus Christ. We are pleased to partner with the following local mission organizations and encourage people to volunteer with them:
Serenity Inc. http://www.serenitykids.com
Serenity is a non-profit foster care and adoption agency providing specialized homes and comprehensive programming for abused, abandoned, and neglected children.
NHH’s mission is to partner with parents of at-risk Azusa students to provide tools to thrive academically & socially. As a Christian influence in the city, they achieve their goals through parent education, mentoring relationships, community partnerships, and spiritual support.
Foothills Pregnancy Resource Center www.foothillsprc.org
The mission of FPRC is to provide a safe place where individuals & families are empowered with the tools and support to make healthy life choices. FPRC offers love, care, and counsel to those in need. FPRC is committed to teaching sexual integrity, informing people about choices that affirm life, and provide healing for people after abortion.
Shepherd’s Pantry www.shepherdspantry.com
This ministry provides emergency food, clothing, and emotional support to needy families in times of crisis as well as provides tools & resources to help families become self-sufficient.
Lamb’s Open Door Prison Ministry Dwayne Lowe
L.OD. Prison Ministry is involved in the relationship discipleship of inmates at the Chino Institution for Men. Volunteers are part of a team of men dedicated to speaking and teaching at chapel programs at the prison.
We are continually in the process of expanding our partnerships in order to effectively impact our local community for Christ.

Impacting Our Local Community
Our purpose is to impact our local community with the love of Christ by partnering with ministries in our community to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs; encouraging individuals from Cornerstone to serve outside the church walls; investing time, money, prayers, and personnel to see people transformed.
The execution of Cornerstone’s purpose, values, and vision for local missions is facilitated by our Local Missions Team (LMT). The LMT consists of CBC members under the direction of Pastor Mike Medeiros.
What does the Local Missions Team do?
Pray for Cornerstone, our community, and our partner ministries;
Educate and challenge Cornerstone about the needs and opportunities to minister in our community;
Recruit volunteers to serve with partner ministries;
Allocate funds wisely in our support of partner ministries;
Sponsor and promote training seminars, outreach events, prayer walks, etc., which will help people to better engage with the local community.
